I work throughout the day, mainly based around my children’s activities. I start my day by checking and clearing emails and any small tasks with my first cup of coffee. Usually I have a good idea of what my day will look like based on the activities of the previous day. And I can manage any new “fires” as needed by being organized and proactive.
Each day, I check and respond to customer emails, process client payments, edit podcasts, and prep them for posting. Review emails for grammatical errors. And more, depending on the day!
To effectively manage new projects, I do agree that communication is key. I work best with clear cut checklists, through Asana, or a short call to brainstorm the task or project at hand!
Daily, we use slack, email, and Asana.
A typical day looks like this…
6:30am: checking emails, crossing tasks off in Asana
7:30am: maintaining FB membership
9:30am: checking emails, processing payments, checking collection status for some customers
10:30am: podcast edits
11:00am: wordpress set up of podcast and blog post
